TRIP OVERVIEW
Chilam Joshi is the Kalash spring festival — days of dancing, music and offerings that mark the start of the pastoral year in Bumburet, Birir and Rumbur.
The tour travels from Islamabad through Swat and the Lowari route into the Kalash valleys, with time at the festival itself before continuing to Chitral.
The return runs back through Swat and Peshawar, adding forts, mosques and the river landscapes of Chitral and Dir to the cultural side of the trip.
