BATURA TREK

Moderate
13–14 days
4,300 m (highest point)

TRIP OVERVIEW

The Batura Glacier runs 57 kilometres through Upper Hunza, and this trek follows the shepherd trails along its northern flank from Passu towards Yashpirt and beyond.

It is a trek of pastures rather than moraine — summer settlements, yak herds and wildflower meadows, with the Batura and Passu peaks always overhead.

Because the gradients are gentle, this route suits walkers who want long days and big scenery without technical ground.
