TRIP OVERVIEW
One of the most rewarding short treks in Pakistan. From the village of Minapin you climb through juniper and birch to Hapakun, then out onto the Minapin Glacier meadows at Tagafari.
Rakaposhi rises 5,800 metres from the valley floor in a single unbroken sweep — few mountains anywhere present such scale so close to a road.
The walking is steady rather than technical, making this an ideal first Karakoram trek or an acclimatisation trip before a bigger objective.
