ULTAR SAR EXPEDITION

TRIP OVERVIEW

Ultar Sar is the mountain everyone sees from Hunza: a savage, avalanche-swept wall directly above Karimabad, with only a handful of ascents.

The approach through the Ultar Nala is short but the climbing is sustained and objectively dangerous, demanding a strong, experienced team.

Base camp is a day's walk from town, which makes logistics unusually simple for a 7,000er.
