TRIP OVERVIEW

Highlander runs full K2 expedition logistics for international mountaineers and alpinists, from base-camp support through to complete full-board service on the mountain.

K2 demands everything: technical rock and ice on the Abruzzi Spur, severe weather, extreme altitude and total commitment above the Bottleneck. We provide permits, liaison officer, base camp infrastructure, high-altitude porters, oxygen, fixed rope contribution and experienced climbing sirdars.

The approach itself is one of the great walks in mountaineering — up the Baltoro Glacier past the Trango Towers to Concordia, then along the Godwin-Austen to Base Camp.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Attempt the world's second-highest mountain
  • Trek the full length of the Baltoro Glacier
  • Pass Concordia, Broad Peak Base Camp and the Gasherbrum peaks
