RAKAPOSHI PEAK EXPEDITION

Extreme
40 days
7,788 m

TRIP OVERVIEW

Rakaposhi has one of the greatest vertical reliefs of any mountain on earth, and very few successful ascents.

The south-west spur from Biro Glacier is the usual line: sustained snow and ice climbing with serious cornice and avalanche assessment throughout.

This is an expedition for experienced alpinists rather than a guided 8,000er clientele.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • South-west spur route
  • Very low traffic — often the only team on the mountain
  • Approach through Minapin and Nagar villages
  • Full logistics from our Hunza base
